We both got married after a year of knowing eachother because we were having a baby. the wedding was nothing fancy but we love each other and thats all that matters. I was the farmers daughter and he was a farm hand. He kissed me out of no where and thats where it all started. But i think we have lost what we used to have before are life went upside down. Not bad. you need to get a keyboard player, and start getting more creative. the music sounds like started out with a great idea, but then you just repeated it over and over and over............ Work longer and harder on each song and i think you could be pretty good.

What song should the xc team use our entrance at the pep rally?
pep rally, spirit week, homecoming, etc is going to be happening in about a month and a half, so i'm beginning to think abouw what song the cross country team should have playing when they come into the gym to hundreds of screaming students lol. last year we played "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by the Scorpions and it was AWESOME! we usually like 80s stuff. any suggestions?

The answer that I most agreed with because she gave song quotes and described what she felt was the answer on the 2nd page by ndqupz.
She feels the song is about high school students who are purchasing items because they are packing up to go to college. She feels the song is about one last night to have fun, before they go there separate ways.
How does this represent our current times? Are you a student who will pack up and leave your town, because there is nothing there for you? Might you move to go to school or to a place that had a better economy? Do most high school students get married right after high school and settle in their hometowns? I think that is a thing of the past. We are a mobile society now. We all branch out to different cities, countries, and search for more education and or experiences.

im not one so much for making criticism of the creative end, what you do is your own style, and if it works for you more power to you.
i can however offer you some practical advice for the production process. first, TURN EVERYTHING DOWN a whole bunch. you clip off some of the high ends of the vocals the synth and the effects like the toms and it really takes away from the ambiance that i think youre going for. while in the recording process, make sure to keep everything as quiet as you can keep it, and dont turn it up til you mix down and make the final take. it will give it a much fuller sound and make it sound much more professional.
second, when you record vocals or other acoustic elements, do so in a carpeted small room that doesnt have hard walls (something like dry wall will do nicely). after you have the raw sound, add the echo and reverb and other effects and it will sound much better. right now there is a lot of residual static noise from the recording chamber, im guessing you did it in a hard floored room.
third, EQ the drums and give them more treble, especially the cymbal and the little clicky things, cause those are the subconscious cues which a person listens for to follow along so that the rest of the song can be processed comforably by the conscious mind. you could also use a stronger bass end. basically, chop out the mid range a whole bunch, and this will be a lot easier once you have turned all the raw tracks down.
the elements are all there for a great song with real impact. it will certainly get someones attention ;) keep up the good work. i dont have a myspace account but please post on here with any other songs you guys do, id love to hear them. best of luck!

Can you PLEASE! tell me what you think of our song?
I like the style, however that is a really rough cut. I agree with what the others are saying...
Less echo/reverb, especially for the female vocals.
The male singer sounds like he's straining too hard to make that growly type voice... less growling, more singing.
The song overall needs to be mixed better. It's like as soon as the male stops, the female cuts in. What's wrong with a little overlapping of the vocals or even singing a few lines together?
I also think the background music needs to be louder and a little more in depth.
Just some constructive criticism... I really do like where you're going with this though... it's definitely a good start. Better than what I could do. :)
Have you heard Flesh Field? Your band reminds me of them, though they're more of an electro-industrial group... not really goth/darkwave. Check them out, if you haven't already.

I can't understand your words due to the recording so you need to fix the basics to get going. Also-put some history on your space or in your blog-I was interested in your beginnings. I worked in publishing for years in Nashville and have been a songwriter most of my life with all types of music including rap if people cant understand the lyrics they wont buy it. listen to your competition and then listen to your song and judge yourself by the competition. try turning down the Eco and put more melody in the voice.
It's our first song.. so if we don't sound as good ... give us a little time :) we're working on it!...

i messed up with my crush (ex bf) but there's a dance this coming week (%26amp; it's on my b-day). i really want to dance with him but i kind of messed up because he found a note about another guy that me %26amp; my friend were writing. but it's not like i was cheating on him because we had already broken up. but we both still like each other.

For my birthday?" and just kinda smile and act all sweet, and he'll be gurenteed to say yes :D Also, while you're dancing, you should maybe apologize that you messed up, and tell him that you really regret it. And you should probably tell him that you also regret y'alls relationship falling apart. Y'know? It sounds like it's hard to do, but once you get it out, it'll feel much better and he should understand. Do you want a second chance with him? If so, tell him that you do. If he says "I don't know" then say "ok, I'll give you time to think about it" and be understanding and mature about it. He'll appreciate it, and you'll see that you did the right thing.

We are looking for something a little bit different than the standard wedding songs, maybe a nice slow song that hasn't been out on the radio...definitely no country music though (that includes Amazed by Lonestar, we both hate that song).

I am planning my wedding for next september, and I wanted to play a song to remember our song that was born 20 weeks early last september.
we played "slipped away" by avril lavigne at his funeral. That is "my song" to him. I listen to it all the time and I cry almost everytime. I'm afraid to play that song, because I don't want to bawl in the middle of my reception. Any suggestions?
we also thought about doing a rememberance thing during our ceremony. I've heard about them, but I don't really know exactly what it is, or if i could take that.

My boyfriend and I are getting ready to celebrate our two year aniversary. We are bot 21 years old and living together. We plan on getting married in the future, but would like to finish school and be financially stable before we move on to that. We started out dating long distance and I moved to be with him a little over a year ago. We are extremely happy and in love with each other. Would I have to get permission to use a song in our school announcements?
I want to use 'Don't Stop Believing' by Journey for a music video I'm making. The video would go through our schools video announcements, and possibly on the web. Do I need to contact SonyBMG to get permission to use it?

do you and your partner have a song that you like to call "our song"?? me and my partner Laura have one of these, its called "Don't matter" from a guy called Akon, you may or may not have heard of him, he grew up in Senegal around music and hence the influence came through into his nice r "n" b music we listen to today.....reason we like this song is it talks about stressing eachother out but getting over it, treating your other half with respect and this line which is in the chorus...

No official wedding song discussion yet, but we have been together for almost 7 years and our songis NSync's "This I promise you." ( I know, I know...but in our defense, we started dating when we were 17!) That is pretty much the only song we think of as our special song. But how corny will people think it is if that is our wedding song?
Should we use the song because it really means something to us and has been our song for so long, or should we start searching for a new song that might seem more "acceptable"? I know it's our wedding and we shouldn't care what people think, but I also don't want everyone to make fun of us! What do you think?

I would advise you to focus more of your attention on the marriage rather than the event of the wedding. It will be over so fast that your head will spin. I can hardly remember my wedding - it went so fast. We went through so much stress for what turned out to be meaningless things; matches, napkins, invitations, music, food, cake styles, dress, flowers and the like. Even if you pick the best song ever, and everyone thinks you are so very cool because of it, it will not make your marriage good or bad.
A month after the wedding, nobody will remember what song was "your song." Pick what you like and move on.
