Song appropriate for reception- to remember our son?

I am planning my wedding for next september, and I wanted to play a song to remember our song that was born 20 weeks early last september.

we played "slipped away" by avril lavigne at his funeral. That is "my song" to him. I listen to it all the time and I cry almost everytime. I'm afraid to play that song, because I don't want to bawl in the middle of my reception. Any suggestions?

we also thought about doing a rememberance thing during our ceremony. I've heard about them, but I don't really know exactly what it is, or if i could take that.

I think it is nice you want to remember your son however your wedding is a day to rejoice and be happy because you are starting on the path of a new life together. Why get yourself and the guests upset thinking about such a sad thing. You could always just mention him in your speech at the reception to pay tribute to him.
Reply:I agree with the first answerer on this one - sorry you have been through such pain.

Let the ceremony be what it is - a celebration of joy as the two of you marry.

You could mention him when you speak at the program, but really don't need to - you'll have it on your mind.

A song - Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton - here are the words, and the melody is beautiful -

Reply:Gone Too Soon - Michael Jackson

You'll Never Walk Alone - Judy Garland

Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Various Artists

(this one is my favorite)
Reply:Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven". That song was written about the loss of his son, and is very beautiful.
Reply:How about "I Will Always Love You"? It's appropriate for a wedding , yet can also be dedicated to your son and I am so sorry for your loss. Dolly Parton first recorded this song and it was later recorded by Whitney Houston and became a hit again. Good Luck ..Best Wishes..
