I already know what kind of music I want played during dinner, for the first dance, etc. but the bridal party entrance and my fiance's and my entrance into the reception is the one detail that's killing me! I can't come up with something that really strikes me, like I could with the other songs. It's the one musical aspect driving me crazy. We're looking for something upbeat and fun, and are open to something different, because I think that your entrance song can sometimes set the tone for the whole party. Our bridal party will only consist of two couples (two bridesmaids, two groomsmen) so we could use the same song for them, unless anyone suggests a song that's appropriate for just the bride and groom.
I've had ideas for songs like Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" and a few others, but nothing has stood out so far. Help!
Song suggestions for our entrance into the reception?
i like the johnny cash idea. i think we are going to come out to something by blue oyster cult. like godzilla or burning for you. i think those songs are fun and upbeat. and i love them because of my dad. so it is to honor him and how i got my love of classic rock from him.

Reply:You should walk into " Rock you like a hurricane". - Scorpians
Reply:Our wedding party is walking in to "Party Like a Rockstar."
My fiance chose it, and that's fine by me-though it might shake up our older relatives! ;)
Have fun with that song-it's a great moment!
Reply:First have you disc jockey announce yourself and the groom. Play a song thats close to your heart. If you like musicals take a song from a musical. It could be a crazy my moms wedding entrance was the i love lucy theme song. Use your favorite tv show theme song it doesn't matter what people think you have to like it and it has to be the perfect song:)

Reply:We're entering to "Another one bites the Dust" one bridesmaid and matching groomsmen will be announced and enter, then the maid of honor and best man then me and my new hubby. I'd say nothing to loud if you are planning on being announced, which most bridal parties and new Mr. Mrs. are
How funny! I read your mind!!

Have your bridal party come out dancing, waving their hands up...... happy and excited.
Since it is a small bridal party..... make sure the song starts out on this part..........
"Look out on the street now, the party's just beginning
The music's playing, a celebration's starting
Under the street lights the scene is being set
A night for romance, a night you won't forget
So come join the fun, this ain't no time to be staying home
There's too much going on
Oh tonight is gonna be a night like you've never known
We're gonna have a good time the whole night long
[Chorus]
Oh feel the beat of the rhythm of the night
Dance until the morning light
Forget about the worries on your mind
You can leave them all behind
Feel the beat of the rhythm of the night
Oh rhythm of the night, oh yeah
I know a place where we can dance the whole night away
Underneath the electric stars
Just come with me and we can shake it loose right away
You'll be doing fine once the music starts"
etc.. etc.
Reply:Aquabats "Superrad". Awesome song and great party CD.
Reply:you could pick something that would go with the theme of the wedding if you have one. Sometimes a unique song is good. Maybe the first song you two heard together?
