How should this song be used in our wedding?

Forever Young by Bob Dylan is one of my absolute favorite songs. The lyrics are beautiful, and I always thought of them as likely the most fitting for a parent-child dance. It's not exactly a "dancey" song though. Do you think it will work out for our father-daughter dance? If not, in what other part of the wedding do you think it could be used?

Thanks for the input!

I think it could definitely be used as a song to dance with to your father.

If you don't feel comfortable using it as a father daughter song you could always use it to cut the cake. That would be cute...
Reply:As a wedding planner, I would put this song as a song to dance off of after the mother/son, daughter/father dance. You are the bride and it's your day. So at whatever time you decide to play it is ok.
Reply:Maybe as the song played to introduce the wedding party at the reception?
Reply:It's fine! Use it! It's a dancey song!
Reply:I don't know if I would use it for the father/daughter dance, personally. But each wedding and bride is unique, and you should pick a song that suits your personal style. Don't get into a situation where you're just conforming to popular opinion :)

What about a slide show? You could start with pictures of you and your fiance as babies, and go all the way up through school years, toothless smiles, graduation, etc. If you have the song playing in the background, it would be awesome. You would want a photo slide show to be happy, and Forever Young could really portray that!
