my fiancee and i lost our 4 month old daughter to SIDS and would like to light a memory candle instead of a unity candle during our wedding i just can't seem to find the right song. anyone have any ideas besides butterfly kisses?
Song to play during lighting of memory candle at our wedding?
Ohhh, I am so very sorry for your loss!!!
In regards to your question, I personally think you should light both a memory candle AND a unity candle. They are very different things. I would go online and check for songs, this way you can view all the lyrics etc. to make sure it's what you both want. Congrats as well as sympathy to you both and may your future hold brighter times.
Reply:Put your lighters up.. By lil Kim..

Reply:Fly - by Celine Dione.
It's a true story about the loss of her young niece. Beautiful song!
So sorry for your loss.
**************************************...
Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the wind of heaven's love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again
Fly, fly precious one
Your endless Journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beautiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace all one word
But hold this mem'ry bittersweet
Until we meet.
Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way, don't wait for me
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But I won't forget
Fly, fly little wing
Fly, where only angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light.
Reply:I'm sorry to hear about your loss. How about "eternal flame" by the Bangles? or "if i saw you in heaven" by Eric Clapton? or "one sweet day" by Mariah Carey %26amp; Boyz II Men?
Reply:Bless your heart!! I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, I think butterfly kisses would be a good choice. congratulation's and good luck.
Reply:I'm with Doxie, the song is a total tearjerker but its beautiful. I've actually danced to it a few times and it brings the house down...but it isn't super melodramatic and over the top to the point where it will overhsadow the joy of the event
