ive never auditioned for a musical before but i want to try. i have a pretty good voice but i cant think of a song to try out with. any suggestions?( the musical is Urinetown by the way)

Reply:You definitely want something uptempo. It shows off your skills better in an audtion. Anyone can smooze their way through a ballad. One of my favorite songs to audition with was "I Could've Danced All Night" from My Fair Lady. It's repetative enough so you don't have to worry about getting nervous and forgetting the words. Plus it's fun and energetic and an easy one to act out.
